The career of Pieter Hugo (born in Johannesburg, 1976) - because of his age - can not be considered long,. However, his work as a photographer is so rich and varied that we fell the right to speak of an oeuvre in his case. He has been shooting exclusively in Sub Saharan Africa since 2003. Everyday life in post-colonial Africa, the complex relationships and the impact of the global trade in his home country after the termination of the apartheid - these are the themes that intertwine his thought-provoking work series.
