The exhibition presenting the flora and fauna of the biggest conservation area of Csongrád County is located in the office of Pirtó. The research of the conservation area began 100 years ago.
The research of ornitolgy which became more intensive in the 1930's proved that the Fehér Lake North of szeged is really a rare natural value. The law IV. tc. issued in 1935 gave an opportunity to create a reservation area.
After the interest of the farmers and the conservationists were conciliated, the conservation area of Pusztaszer was formed in 1976. The aim was to preserve not only the birds and their nests around the lake but also their source of food. The area was 22.266 ha at the beginning when it included three protected areas beside the Fehér Lake: Labodárt, Sasért, and Büdös-szék. The exhibition is complemented with numerous pictures, objects, and documentation.

After the door the visitors turn towards the forests and then to the living environment of the foreshore. Going through the other door the visitor may enter the porch.
