Visitors can see a wide range of selections of the natural science collection of the museum. We can learn about the history of our planet, and the flora and fauna of our special sub-mediterranian climate.
The target area of the collection is the geologically and ocologically versatile East-Mecsek and the Baranyai-hegyhát. The collection demonstrates the geological, paleontological, zoological and botanical values of the region. Its special fields are the microskopic paleontology, the domestic and Euro-Asian moths, animal geography and nature protection. There are about 350 000 protected items in the museum.
