The material of the exhibition focuses on a machine that was born out of the marriage of two cultic objects: the gramophone and the treadle sewing machine. The painting by the English painter Francis Barraud from 1899, the dog watching the gramophone ear horn (Nipper) His master's Voice became the trademark of music industry in the 20th century. The works of arts on display were partly influenced by the 'intermedial' story, partly by the beauty of the singer sewing machine.
Sound of music is heard from the old 78 rpm records that the visitors can put on the bizarre Dadaist-like record players. The exhibition invites the visitors to the audiovisual culture of a likely past.
