The Stalinist era, despite the change of social system two decades ago, is still an unprocessed chapter in the history of Hungarians who lived in Czechoslovakia during that era. The partial results either demonise or praise this period of human history.

The exhibition is to direct attention to researches concerning the Slovak Hungarian Culture Museum and the various interpretations of history. On one hand, it focuses on the restriction of rights a dictatorship, on the other hand, the human rights, developing school network and cultural institutes of nationalities.
Authentic collection items, documents from archives, sound recordings, video takes recall the duality inherent in the life of Hungarian nationalities in Czechoslovakia.
The exhibition was realized by the cooperation of professional specialists and various institutes.
