István Felhősi was born in 1949 in Csepel. He attended the Faculty of Painting and Restoring for the Fine Art Academy from 1972 to 1977. His masters were: Blaski János, Barcsay Jenő, Patay László, Entz Géza, Cifka György, Végvári Lajos and Varga Dezső.

He also restored a number of churches and castles in the Transdanubian area. He lives in Veszprém.
