The catering industrial exhibition of the King St. Stefan Museum gives a selection of the weekdays and celebrations of the peiod between the 18th and 20th centuries.
The Mine Lake Restaurant in Székesfehérvár, 1930
The exhibition begins with archeologically excavated, restored (and scientifically prepared) Pelikán Inn from the 18th-19th century. Various places of catering and the special relics recalling some nostalgy are emphaized in the exhibition. Besides the 19th century signboards of our ethnographic collection (Black Eagle, To the Red Heart) visitors can see the enteriour objects, plackards and photographs of the Lószorító pub of Iváncsa, the Vértes lodge of Gánt, the Bányató restaurant of Székesfehérvár, the Vörösmarty restaurant, the former Szakály (later Gyöngyvirág) confectioneryand the Ősfehérvár restaurant.

The historical review is closed by the Alba Regia Hotel built in 1972, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2002. The jubilee provided an occasion for introducing the past and recall the nice atmosphere and relics of those days.

The exhibition can be visited: 7th January 2003 - 1st March. Prior notice is to be given.
