Uri Asaf was born in Israel. He moved to Budapest with his parents in 1947. In 1968, he graduated from ELTE as the doctor of chemistry. Parallel with this, he began his arts and panting studies. Uri Asaf is a painter and poet who works as a university professor. He held several independent exhibitions in Hungary, the last one being in Pannonhalma and Jerusalem. He has been member of the Jerusalem Fine Arts Association from 2000. His fourth poem volume was published in 2006 entitled 'Painter Brothers'.
A taste of the exhibition
He shows completely new pictures in the synagogue in Győr. The pictures are all oils with deep lyric landscapes. The artist puts his subjective experiences into abstract expression-like language. Tranquil contemplation, meditative atmosphere and deep tones of browns determine his forms and colors.

The exhibition opening in the winter prayer room of the synagogue is the last temporary exhibition before the permanent exhibition of the Israelite Community.
