The traveling exhibition organized by the Luther Center of Wittenberg and the Luther Tradition Preserving Foundation is arriving from Bratislava to Budapest. It has been traveling since 2003 visiting North America then Europe.

The material presents the most important locations and scenes of the life of the reformer via contemporary documents and copies. The information may help us conjure up a subtle picture of a man whose life greatly effects us even nowadays. We wish to show something not only for Protestants but also for Catholics and atheists of the power and energy of the man who was fuelled by his own belief in the reformation of his church. The visitors may also see Luther’s companion, often fighting royalty, the Cranach painter family, printers, wise men, theologists and off course see Lady Katalin.
'This present exhibition helps the visitors with information on Luther and Reformation to make the formerly acquired knowledge more punctual and less devoted. I hope that our exhibition will serve the purpose and will be interesting for everyone not only for those who 'have to' visit it due to the anniversary year.' reads the foreword of the manager of the exhibition.
The material shown in Budapest is extended with material in connection with the relation of Luther to Hungary. The material is made up of mainly original objects.
Hans Zinnow, the employee of the institution of Wittenberg, sets up the traveling exhibition. The organizer of the display in Hungary is the Evangelic National Museum entrusted by the Evangelic Church of Hungary.
