Between 2002 and 2004 anthropologists of Hungary fulfilled a research on town anthropology based on observation in Budapest. The topic was not the whole town but districts e.g. Terézváros. The photographer, anthropologist Hajnal László Endre took part in the works from the very beginning. He tried to formulate his experiences of the research in pictures and attempted to exploit the opportunity of a fieldwork such as that.
A taste of the exhibition
Of course, his work is not a simple mirror of a research of social sciences. The photographer and researchers did their works helping each other formulating their experiences with their own given language.

The fieldwork was part of a French-Hungarian research program. The complete photography material was displayed in the Museum of Ethnography from the end of 2004.

The Artemisszió Foundation, as well as the etnofoto.hu supported the work among others.
