The architect couple, Zsuffa Zsolt and Kalmár László, graduated in 1993. They have worked together in a studio since 2000. In that short time, they made their names known in contemporary Hungarian architecture with their incredibly pure forms.
Town Hall, Budaörs
After designing family homes and block of flats, they designed the building of the vinery in Balatonlelle in 2000. 'Distance, elegance and elaborateness shines through the house that realizes a very lucky balance of tradition and the modern, individuality and fitting, timelessness and modernity.' (Sulyok Miklós)

The Mayor's Office of Budaörs opened this September is a public building designed with the right dignity. Its monumental but still intimate fore garden is covered with fine surface which bought a new quality into the architecture of the little town stricken with everything possible.

'The interaction between man and his surroundings comes from deep down. Every detail is important. Every detail can be understood. Every detail is based on experience and finds the right form since they were figured out slowly and were thought of deeply. Since the interaction is coming from the depths, every location has a significant character that slowly began to mirror the variability of situations of humanity. From this, the town comes to life. The patterns stay alive because men who use it also test it.'

'The more examples can be found at a place, the more it is becoming alive as a whole. It is more shiny, there is more of it of the flame that is none other than the unnamed quality. When a building is full of fire it becomes part of nature at the same time. The details, just as the waves of the ocean or the grass blades, the endless game of repetition and variability, keep it alive. This is quality.' (Christopher Alexander: The Endless Road of Architecture)
