The 'Móga 'lace with its unique patterns and technical characteristics, is connected to Mrs. Móga Margit Reguly. Her patterns of fine mixture of vernacular forms and historic style can be separated into two groups. One of the groups contains patterns made up of fine thread of bouquets, bines, peacocks. The other group contains patterns made of thick thread of flowers, bines with leaves, which laces usually serve as table-, bed-, piano-, and wall covers or curtains.

The work began at the end of the 1930's and lasted until 1945-46, and afterwards from 1957 until nowadays on the lace plant of Karcag. The heads of the departments lead the work; they provided the pattern for the work to be performed and gathered the ready-made laces. Nowadays the work is done individually. The patterns are widespread all over the country but only a few know of their origins.
The tools of the Móga and Karcag laces are taken from private collections and the Museum of Applied Arts. The exhibition is complemented with specialized literature provided by libraries.
