"Andor Borúth began a promising career. He was as talented as to gain the certificate of acknowledgment in 1900 on the world exhibition of Paris (Mention Honorable). He was rewarded a good number of prizes in Budapest, too. In 1910-11 he moved to Tátraszéplak, got married and established a family. Then came the world war and Trianon.
Andor Borúth: Self-portrait with Brush and Easel
He mostly painted portraits and landscapes. He formed a lively artistic life in Tátraszéplak. Besides, he was diligent exhibitor in the Kunsthalle, the National Saloon. He took part in important exhibitions in Budapest and several big cities of Europe.

In his youth he had a number of exhibitions in Hungary and abroad. Later - with a strong financial background - he spent his years painting portraits and landscapes. In Tátraszéplak there was a unique artistic centre formed through mostly Hungarian painters."
