Poems, quotes, famous poets and their lovers and also the civilian world of "good old times" inspired the painter Rita Sonkodi's lyrical, delicate, feminine creations. The creative works of the artist from Szeged carry Goethe's idea namely that a woman's nature- is closely related to art. The collective exhibition opening on Day of Hungarian Culture presents one hundred and forty paintings on the ground floor of the Plains Gallery in Hódmezõvásárhely.
Rita Sonkodi graduated from the Painting Faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts, and continued her DLA studies in Temesvár. At present she teaches at the Juhász Gyula Teacher Training Collage in Szeged.She has had a number of exhibitions in recent years. She considers herself a real painter for whom beside her family and work, painting is the most important in life.
