Nikola Rahme is an amateur photographer of insect. He first made acquaintance with insects in childhood. He began photographing at the beginning of the 2000s. In the early days he only wanted to photograph bugs.
He took compact photos from 2005, then SLR pictures. His original interest in photographing beetles in their habitat turned to winged insects, mainly flies. His photographs reveal a magical world..
The focus series method he currently uses allows him to show animal species in extraordinary scientific detail. This technique is also used with showing of plants, fungi and arthropods.
Part the exhibition is material was made in a photo studio. Some of the photos are of or inanimate arthropods the other part was taken in nature of live animals. The exhibition shows g animal species exclusively from Hungary.
