Gyõzõ Somogyi, the Kossuth Prize and Munkácsy Prize awarded painter and graphic artist, after completing art high school became a student at Catholic Theological College and was ordained a priest. In the 1970s, he left the church and became a freelance artist. He settled in Salföld in the 1980s, and has lived there ever since.
