Originally an ex libris was used as an identification - stuck inside the books. However, from the time of the secession it was not stuck in the books any more, for it became an independent style. I still remained personal, and this gave reason for the circulation of the bravest graphics works. Similarly to the stamp collectors, these cards were also collected - mostly by the physicians (as far as the erotic character of them was concerned)
