The house was built at the turnover of the 18th century. It was built as a forest guard flat by prince Couburg. It functioned as a forest house till 1937. During the war deported Jews were accomodated here. After the war wood-cutters and gardeners were living in the house. Since 1999 the local council of Cserépfalu has been operating the building as a region house.
