The palm house was built in the 1880’s. Its exotic plants evoke the tradition of orangeries and tropical plant houses typical of aristocratic lifestyle. The building of the palm house is surrounded by a rock garden, an aquarium, a pond and a bird park.

The Amazon House Visitor Centre houses the exhibition Travelling Aristocrats, Adventures on the Road, which presents the travel culture and travelling customs of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century with the help of several interactive tools.
