In the Middle Ages a butcher's shop was run on the ground floor of the town building. On the first floor there was a school and the midwife of the town lived there, too.Today the first floor is used as exhibition spaces for the Sopron Museum.Fine arts, region history and ethnographical collections are exhibited. Every second year the newest works of the contemporary Hungarian coin art are exhibited.
