Ibafa is a nice little village in Baranya County, hiding in the valleys of Zselic, north-east of Szigetvár. It was first mentioned in a document in 1425. After Szigetvár fell, the village of Ibafa emptied. In the middle of the 1700s, Croatians and later Germans arrived to settle in the village. The Catholic church that is an attraction of the village nowadays was built in 1865. The fame of the village came from the local parson's interest in pipes. continue
