Even three decades ago, there were only ploughlands here. Soil ploughed by Maria Muik by herself until her death in 1965. She owned the tiny peasant house with straw roof. The neighbouring estate is the location of the open-air exhibition. continue

A taste of the exhibition
We highlight only a few of the 33 buildings at the open air exhibition. From Tschanigraben (Güssing) we imported a dwelling house into the Skanzen. The so-called "Wonder House" arrived from Güssing (Németújvár). The oldest parts of the house are the smoky kitchen and the first room from the 18th century. The forgery was moved here from Welten-Bergen (Velike, Jennersdorf/Gyanafalva/). continue
