The relationship between Hajdú-Bihar county and the rumanian Bihar county is getting closer in many ways. We can declare that fine arts and artistic exhibitions have been instrumental in this relationship.
A taste of the exhibition
As frontiers became virtual, the cultural and natural environment is coming into prominence. This contributes to the development of the relationship between the border regions. We recognize again the common historical-cultural traditions and the impact of nature on lifestyle and mentality. It seems that the theme of the Winter Salon "LANDSCAPE - NATURE - MAN" by coincidence points to this experience.

The co-operation between the Directorate of the Hajdú-Bihar Museums and the Körös Region Museum in Nagyvárad goes back to a decade.

The common exhibitions open the door to introducing artistic conceptions. Perhaps, different visual methods are used by the artists beside and outside the border, but this does not divide, it connects. The creation and the creator can influence each other and inspire us to know ourselves and others.

This is the reason why the Local Government of the Hajdú-Bihar County payes marked attention to this salon. Cultural contacts can significantly contribute to the functional co-operation of the Hajdú-Bihar - Bihor Euroregion.

I wish that next year the new art exhibition in Nagyvárad would reassure the strenght and the continuity of this relationship!
