Vetro András was born on 14, October 1948 in Temesvár. He graduated at the Sculptor Department of the Collage of Fine Arts Institute of Kolozsvár in 1973. His teachers were the sculptor Egon Löwith, the philosopher György Bretter, the aesthete László Földesi and his father Vetro Artur from whom he received his talent and professional knowledge.
In 1973, he was appointed to Kézdivásárhely where he taught modeling, drawing and history of art in the Nagy Mózes Lyceum. From 1973, he participated at all exhibitions as member of the Romanian Fine Arts Association of Sepsiszentgyörgy.
From 1975, he is the teacher along with his wife, Vetro Bodoni Zsuzsa, of the above-mentioned school. His younger son, Vetro Bodoni Barnabás, joined them at the same school. He teaches computer sciences. He is also member of the group named "Udvartér". His older son, Vetro Bodoni Sebestyén András teaches art history in Brasso. He is also member of the international creative camp named INCITATO.
