Magda Szécsi is known as the author of several beautiful Roma story tales, their illustration- and fairytale like, still sad paintings. She is raised to the level of professional fine artists by her ability of inner perception and expression, creative fantasy and compositions. She does all these without any formal studies.

'I was born on 9, May 1958 in Komádi. I was two when I was taken in by a foster-home. I stayed there until age 18. I went to grammar school but I did not graduate. I did drawings in the home and entertained my friends with tales I made up. I began to seriously draw in 1984 and this was also the year of my first publication of my tales. After a few beautiful years spent in Tata, I moved to Budapest. Creating and tale writing means freedom for me, the freedom of the soul and creation.'

The exhibition is free for everyone.
