The exhibition "Capa in Colour" presents colour photographs by the world famous Hungarian-born photographer who is well-known for his black and white wartime photography. The exhibition will be shown first time in Europe, from 9 June at the Capa Centre.
Robert Capa worked with colour photos regularly from 1941 up to his death in 1954. The comprehensive exhibition presents more than 100 colour photographs, a part of which was published in magazines while Capa was still alive, but most of them will be shown for the first time at the Capa Centre.
In addition to the exhibition "Capa in Colour", photos by Capa's best friend, the 98-year-old John G. Morris, will be displayed. The photos were made at the time of the Normandy invasion, and were hid in a desk drawer for seventy years.
