Where do the teddy bears live? How many household objects do we find in old tales, proverbs?
What beautiful objects can arise from the hand of real masters? Children and adults find answers to all these questions at this playful exhibition.
Just like in a real story book, the exhibition is divided into seven chapters: we have a glance at a wood carving workshop and then dolls dressed in Sunday cloths lead the visitors to the "fabulous" ethnographic objects from where we find our way to the forestry and urban teddy bears and cartoon characters, a world of magical wood carvings. And when we have left of the exhibition , it is still worth checking out the exterior decorated shop window with a doll maker and spinning workshop design.
In addition to old objects - which are common in tales to two folk artist: Éva Zorkóczy with painstakingly made dolls and Mihály Zsolnai with his magical wood carvings, Ildikó Bartos with her carefully collected teddies and Mária Gazdik crochet fairy tale characters she was working on for many years are present in the showing.
Location: KÖKI Terminal Floor 2., exhibition room no. 253, near the restaurants (75, Vak Bottyán Street, Budapest, 1191)
Opening hours: from Tuesday to Saturday 10.00 - 18.00
