The Pécs-born Kossuth Prize awarded painter would be 100 years old in 2015. The Janus Pannonius Museum owns over 140 works by Tihamér Gyarmathy, thus the exhibition paying tribute to his career is abundant in excellent works.
In addition to items owned by JPM, we selected some from the Hungarian National Gallery Collection and from several private collectors. The exhibition is divided into two thematic units. Graphic works by Gyarmathy are located at the Museum Gallery, the paintings can take seen at the Modern Hungarian Gallery.
