Inge Morath was the first female membr of Magnum Photos: In 1955 she joined the world-renowned photo agency. In 1951 her interest turned to photography. In the period 1953-54 she worked for Henri Cartier-Bresson as his assistance. In her early thirties she decided to travel all countries on the banks of the Danube and take photos about daily life of people living there. However, because of the Iron Curtain, she was not allowed to enter many countries, so she could not fully realize her goals. After the change of regime, in 1993, Inge Morath returned to countries that had been under Soviet rule. For two years she kept documenting the impact of socialism on people's lives. The world renown photographer with Magnum Photos died in 2002 at the age of 79.

Her photos were selected for night shows
