Thanks to a careful packing of an unknown person, pictures from the first group exhibition of the legendary Magnum Photos, by Robert Capa , Henri Cartier - Bresson , Marc Riboud , Werner Bischof , Ernst Haas , Erich Lessing , Jean Marquis and Inge Morath, were laying in a box for over fifty years in the basement of the French Cultural Center of Innsbruck. The collection was once shown during it's half a century hiding, in Austria, though only for a few months.

The discovery of the sensational photos of importance is to be shown in Hungary soon. The 83 laminated fibreboard holds original black-and- white photos, the first group exhibition presented by the world -renowned photo agency, entitled First Ones located on the first floor of Mai Manó House.

The exhibition material consists of the series by Henri Cartier-Bresson's about last days of Gandhi's and his funeral, Robert Capa1s South of France peacetime images, Jean Marquis' photo reports from Hungary and the shooting of the monumental Hollywood movie The Land of Pharaohsthrough the lens of Ernst Haas. And of course, there will be two large suitcases, too which held the pictures for 50 years.

All this come with slide shows of photos on the second floor of Mai Manó House by MAGNUM photographers, including David Seymour, Martine Franck, Erich Lessing, Josef Koudelka, Abbas, Patrick Zachmann and Chien Chi Chang. The photos were taken in Hungary during the visit of the artists from 1947 up today. The projection deals with post-World War II situation, the 1956 Revolution, socialism and the change of social system.
