Selecting from the Schmidt Museum Collection, we provide insight into the world of the "good old days" as well as pre-World War II decades with their travel habits, and spa culture.

The Mayor of Szombathely, Gyula Éhen and members of the Stirling family received those postcards from the Adriatic, Crikvenica, Losinj (Lošinj), Trieste, Opatija that we show to our visitors.

The popular seaside resorts are remembered via bathing period costumes, objects, photographs as well as umbrellas, hats, bikinis.

The history of Dualism era (1867‒1918) Imperial and Royal Austro-Hungarian Navy (Kaiserliche und Königliche Kriegsmarine) are remembered via sailor uniforms from the ports of Pola (Pula) and Rijeka (Rijeka)
, representations of anchored warships. The daily life of sailors are illustrated by way of
photos and postcards from WWI.

The museum courtyard is the place where gravel painting, postcard-making, photographing are awaiting playful children and adult visitors.
