What is restoring? Reviving, restoration. Saving objects of ancient times for now and for the future. The conservator is responsible to care for and restore archaeological finds, tools and documents discovered in villages or cities. Conservators gently clean the dirt off these items, identifies the damaged material and also cleans it thus preserving it. He consciously chooses the chemical treatments and methods for these processes. With patient craftsmanship, he thereby recovers the fragments shattered pieces.
