The exhibition presenting the works of the illsutrator for children story books Erika Bartos is opening on 12 December at the Millenáris Fogadó, entitled Test of Courage. The objectove of the exhibition A Test of Couragethat deals with series topics in a light manner is to introduce young readers to the book since it is not on the market. In the book Test of Courage, parents, doctors, psychologists and nurses tell their stories about children with cancerous diseases, including leukaemia, with all the hardship the families and children had to face during the illness.
The secret in the drawings by Erika Bartos lays in the daily life of these children in hospital , as it is really happened. It reveals what the children had to go through, from the first intervention through medication period, even chemotherapy.
The book was published by the foundation ŐRZŐK. Their objective was to show those children who have been just diagnosed with the decease in advance what they will have to go through but that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
