In the Eastern wing of the Castle Museum we represent - through a historical exhibition - the archaeological findings discovered on the excavations. Weapons, utensils and stove tiles are exhibited from the 13-15th centuries. The document first mentioning the castle (1347) and other contracts and certificates are also displayed.
Simontornya - Castle
In the next room we exhibit items from the time of the Turkish era. Above the remains of the Northern wing, the stone store of the castle can bee seen in a modern protecting building, together with the remains of a chapel built in 1508 and a knight room. In the knight room visitors can follow up - through photographs - the conditions before and after the restoring works.

The fireplaces of the castle are also woth looking at. The room of the gate tower protects the nicest fireplace, which is unique all over Hungary. On the third floor of the old tower another restored late gothic fireplace can be seen.
