Cocolate is a product that is made of at least 35% cocoa products, of which at least 18% is cocoa butter and 14% fat free dry cocoa, and sugar. It contains about 300 compounds, among them stimulators, e.g. metilxanthines like caffeine, or theobromine. Physiologically important is the histamine, sterotin, tryptophan, phenyl-ehtylamine, thyramin and magnesium.

If somebody read the recipe, he might not want to have a bite of chocolate. But if he decides to do so, he has to be ready for the chocolate having happiness hormone that makes him feel relaxed. Happiness hormone causes the aging of the body slow down, his and concentration get better. He will also have a fresher memory. In addition, chocolate regulates cholesterol; it is excellent remedy for cardiovascular diseases.

Hungarian people first should express their gratitude to Frigyes Stühmer who was the first to open a chocolate factory in Hungary. He and his posteriors created a Europe-wide famous company that was as known as the Suchard, Lindt, Gerbaud and the Nestlé. Their legendary products were Zizi, the Tibi, or the Frutti.

Our exhibition commemorates Frigyes Stühmer and the Chocolate Factory in Vágóhíd Street. The material includes a great number of photos and objects; we also screen a 20-minute film about the secrets of chocolate making.
