The farmer house was built in 1911, in traditional style. Its first room is the summer kitchen. The large and small rooms are opening from here. The stove of the large room was heated from the kitchen. Later, when this special kind of stove was not in fashion any more, the large room was turned into a so-called clean room. The chimney of the kitchen was also done away with. That is how the kitchen became an entrance room.
In the clean room there stands the bed, above it the photographs of the first owners of the house. There is an attractive wardrobe containing old clothing.
The people in the region liked to ornament their homes with simple, but decorative ornaments. This is manifested in the carved cradle seen in the large room.
The small rom was used for cooking and sleeping as well. The beauty of the room is the cupboard, where cups and glasses were held. The walls are covered by pictures, wall papers and the family blessing so typical to Calvinist families.
The bread making oven is found in the yard, where probably many loafs and cakes were baked in those days.
The tools of the famous wood carver Lajos Madarász are seen on the walls of the lard.
The agricultural buildings near the house contain the tools of agriculture, wine-making and hemp processing.
The House was opened on 20th August 1998 in order to protect the relics of the region for future generations. The key of the house is placed in the Suba-hole Museum, the director of which is responsible for opening the house for the visitors. Between 1st November and 30th April visitors are to give notice of their arrival in the local council (during opening hours).
