Victor Vasarely's collection gifted to the capital of his native country had been placed in one of the side buildings of the Zichy palace in Óbuda.

The Holy Spirit square, the Danube's ship factory isle, and the Szentendre line of the commuting train (HÉV) border the L-shaped building. The well-kept garden, the view of the palace on the other side, the old front walls of the Fő square, the renovated entrances, its ornaments, restaurants, small shops, in perspective of the St. Margaret Island and the hills of Buda in the distance provides a splendid view and experience. The building itself kept its Baroque character, and at the same time - through its modern elements - provides a remarkable environment to the uniquely rich collection entitled Vasarely in Eastern Europe.
