The exhibition hall is operated by the Etele circle of Region Historical Exhibition Space in the 11th district of Budapest. The collection was realized by the support of the Self-Government of the district, The Budapest Historic Museum, and the people living in the district. The members of the Circle provide the development and functioning of the hall.

The exhibition hall is made up of three wards. The space consigns the field of collecting the material and the possibilities of showing them.

Our first ward gives pictures of the Archeological findings of South Buda, mainly the Gellért Hill and surrounding area. Photographs represent the most significant findings. We present Celtic-Roman objects found in Kende Street and findings in the late Roman cemetery in Gazdagrét.

The second ward presents the life work of János Csonka who was a significant person in the industrial life of the district. His personal belongings, models of the cars he designed, and an original tricycle made for the Hungarian Post in 1898 will probably be in the center of attention.

The third unit strives to present a wide scale possibility of a structured environment. Our compilation titled 'Once it was South Buda' shows in contemporary photos the buildings of the last 125 years but already disappeared. The listed buildings of the district, the buildings, and monuments of special interest are shown by sets of photo series.

The memory of the industry of the district, products of the factories István Rock Machine factory, Aeroplane of Albertfalva, Gamma, BHG and the Concrete and Iron Works Company are preserved in showcases. The conservation areas of the district, the Sas Mountain, the Rupp Mountain, and the arboretum of the Saint Stephen University are introduced in sets of photos as well.

The construction works presently executed in the district are documented with photos, which are continuously places among the older photos.
