The Hungarian Historical Collection of Révfülöp opened in the Balaton ward on 14, June. The permanent local- and spa history exhibition is titled 'One of the Nicest Countries of the World'.

Dr. Zsuzsa V. Fodor is a manager of a museum in Veszprém County. In her opening speech, said: 'This event is a celebration both for Révfülöp and for the cause of the Museum of the County since it is a pleasure to see that a significant event happened in the history of the collections. From this day on the exhibition that opened eight years ago is converted into a nicer showing'.

The basic material on Révfülöp and its region was collected by László Benke, his colleges, and students in the Homeland Knowledge study groups from the 50's. Many parents gave objects, photos to the collection. Famous people who were born in Mára or were connected to it, like the Pauler family, Ernő Pöltenberg, Tamás Szontagh, Lajos Lóczy geologists, and Béla Miklós prime minister also gave their donations to us.

The memoirs of the spas and the life of the ferryman are in a separate showcase. A cabin and the contemporary bathing suits evoke the atmosphere of the Balaton bath at the beginning of the 20th century. The exhibition lead by Tamás P. Miklós is complemented with geological material, a section showing the maps of Révfülöp, interesting material of numismatics, and documents of the independence of the town.
