The center of the County Museum established in 1868 is one of the oldest museum in the country.

The archeologist, doctor and polymath Jósa András established its extraordinary Archeological Compilation. Besides, the Museum also owns significant collections of local history, fine-and applied arts numismatics and literature history.

The paintings of Benczúr Gyula and the furniture of Krúdy Gyula are the treasures.
