The house of Dániel Berzsenyi (1776-1836) in Nikla was built in 1811. Exhibitions recalling the memory of the classicist poet have been held there since 1954. The cottage is a national monument with a park under protection around it.
Péter Sára designed the permanent exhibition presenting the objects, tools and the works of the poet in 1972. The material was taken from the collection of the Museum of Somogy County and the Petőfi Literal Museum.
