This village populated by Roman Catholic Hungarians is one of the most famous for preserving its traditions in the Galga Valley. The village museum was opened in 1989 in a peasant house representing the local building traditions (erected in 1905).
The collection was formed due to the many years long activity of Mrs. Gábor Szilágyi. The exhibition represents the traditional house interior, old children toys and farming tools in the shed. Especially rich is the collection of local folk costumes.
