The village belongs to the Galga Valley in a wider sense. The traditional world of this Roman Catholic community is represented by this exhibition opened in 1970. The Village Council bought the building together with its belongings. The exhibition was arranged with the ethnographic objects collected by Roman Catholic parson Gyula Kozár bought with the help of public contribution. The house was built in the first half of the 19th century and was possessed by the Soós family for several generations. The former characteristic villain house is a protected ethnographic monument.

The exhibition represents the way of life and dwelling of a poor family. The collection of wrought iron crosses that used to decorate the houses of Dány deserves a special attention.
