Ferenc Juba was born in Nagyvárad in 1915. He went to primary school in Dunaszerdahely, he attended secondary school in the Benediction Grammar School of Komárom. He did medical university in Bratislava and Budapest. He became a naval officer in 1941. In 1941-1944, he served on a ship in Budapest. Later he became 3rd and then the 2nd officer in the navy.

In 1944, he received the title Doctor of Laws, in 1950 he became a physician. In 1955, he was the head of department of the Office of Navy and river police. Following this, he was the manager of the Duna-Maritime Navigation Inc. In 1948-62, he taught law and hygiene of ships in the Institution of Navy Officer Training

He emigrated to Wien in 1962. In 1963, he was the first physician on the ship T.S.S. Homeric. In 1964-65 he served on the German research ship FFS. Walther Herwig. In 1966-81, he was the head physician and radiologist in the hospital of Pölten. Presently he works in Wien and Komárom.


The collection dealing with the Hungarian Navy and its history was given to Komárom in 1987. The permanent exhibition of the material opened in the basement of the Town's Hall. It was the second permanent exhibition of the György Klapka Museum. The show was reorganized in 1997.
