The exhibition dealing with the life work of Ferenc Kölcsey was opened in the former house of the family, which remained almost entirely untouched. The materials of the exhibition were renewed in 1990. Materials of the new collection were arranged by Ilona Várhelyi, director of the Literary Museum of Debrecen.

Since 1968 the Library of Álmosd has also been operating in the house.

The Kölcsey Memorial House has been the home of many writer-reader meetings. Visitors have often come from the nearby settlements to listen to lectures on agriculture, health and other subjects. Special classes had also been held here.

This pearl of Álmosd is worth taking a visit. We can learn more about the work of Ferenc Kölcsey and his memories connected to this house.
