During our history many valiant peple made visits or lived for longer periods in Álmosd. Several smitheries were running here to serve the soldiers and the citizes. One of them - which was even working in the 1970'ies - can be seen with its all equippments and some sample works. Its owner, Mihály Mucsi was the last practicing blacksmith in the village.

The smithery was purchased by the settlement and the Monument Protecting Committee in 1981. It has been open to visitors ever since.
