The exhibition opened on 15 March 2001 in the granary of the Batthyány manor building constructed in 1752. The Municipal Library is downstairs while the Local History and Ethnography Showing is upstairs in the building.

The early history of Bóly and its region is illustrated by archaeological finds. After observing the first written document, the visitors find information on the changes of population from the 18th century to 1946.

The archives of the Batthyány Manor, local life of Catholics, the past of the congregation, as well as the prosperous community life of hungarians living in upper hungary is demonstrated via documents and photos.

Following this section, artisans, carpenters, blue-dyers, hone cake makers first operating in the framework of local guilds, then corporations are shown. Exhibition dolls are dressed in folk cloths of german tradesmen and farmers, cloths they wore in the period from the early 1900's to 1940's.

Two rooms are equipped with furniture of catholic germans from bóly and upper hungary reformed hungarians. the homespun culture of upper hungarians is represented by table covers and cloths.

The final stage is a photo showing of national monuments and cuts from the book published on the town.
