The mansion in the classicist style and wooden shingles is also known as the Csillagház (Star house) in town. The local history collection managed by the library has been located in the building since 1977. Books about the town's history, geography, economy and cultural are in the collection. The number of postcards counts over five-hundred, from the end of the 19th century to the mid 20th century.

The Esze Tamás archives consists thousands of pages from the 18-20th century, related to scientists and literary men from Nógrád County. The heritages located in the collection allow the visitors inspect the lifestyle in a small town at the beginning of the 20th century.

The photo and slide collection review the national holidays, events, programs, festive clothing in the 20th century, as well as customs and life-style.
