The foundation of the Kossuth Village Museum was preceded by collecting works lasting for two decades that began in the scope of the 'Home Knowledge Study Group'. Later the parents and grandparent got involved aw well. The conditions of the foundation of the museum were provided by the local self-government.
We can learn of the past, traditions, folk clothing, and lifestyle of the village Kóka beside its tradition preserving work.
The so-called goblin corner is in the clean room of the museum. Goblin sawing began in 1929 in our village. For centuries, the women were very successful at that. Later the villages Dány and Tóalmás also joined in the work. The goblin center in Kóka later was converted into a co-op.
The so-called Kossuth Corner is also located in the clean room. The objects like the jug, coins and books are all related to Kossuth.
Among the furniture of the kitchen, we can find a cupboard, chest, stove, settee, and a water bench.
Beds, chairs, and a loom can be found in the back room. We can also see the carved chairs covered with leather of the Countess Geraldine Károlyi, the chair of the president of the trade association that has the inscription 'For Our Beloved President' on. The walls are ornamented with pictures of Rákóczi, saints, pictures of members of a fire crew, soldiers, and a picture of the countess.
Baskets, wooden bowls, and a scoop can be found in the chamber. The shelves hold lamps and jars. The farming tools and equipments are also located there.
The hallway is made livelier with pictures of the life of our village, the founding letters of the Village Hall, flags of the trade association, and the field surrounding Kóka.
The horse wagon is located in the shed beside the vine press, grins and the 109-year-old fire hosepipe.
