The little house, the location of the Collection of Local History is in Vámosmikola, close the Ipoly in 26, Rákóczi Street.

The teacher Gyula Pereszlényi began collecting work with his students. The exhibition titled 'The Development of the Village in Pictures 1945-1975 and the Görgey Battalion' was connected to the inauguration of the antifascist monument in 1975. These events are important part of the history of the collection. The material of both exhibitions was moved to the other wing of the building. Later the compilation was extended by the ethnographic material and opened as the Collection of Local History on 6, November, 1977.

The building of the collection was built at the beginning of the 20th century of stone and loam, the ceiling was made of beams, the floor was mud. There are two living rooms, a chamber, and a kitchen in the house.

The first room is a living room furnished almost completely. It had a bed, a crib, and two chests with tulip ornamentation, a cupboard, a bench, and two chairs in. We may also see the characteristic pieces of the clothing of men and women of Vámosmikola.

The middle room was originally a kitchen. The furnishing suggests this but it lacks the furnace. We can see a feeding chair, a table, and plates on the walls, and ring cake shapes besides the decorations and tools.

The tools and equipments of the house are in the back room.
